Democrats who are still obsessing over the so-called Russia scandal are like children who throw temper tantrums in the supermarket when mommy doesn’t buy the candy bar that they want. It’s blatantly obvious that they are still angry and bitter over the fact that Hillary Clinton – the “anointed one” – didn’t become the 45th president of the United States, and they are incapable of coming to terms with the fact that Donald Trump is our commander-in-chief. They are still in a state of shock, and are clinging to any excuse they possibly can that furthers the narrative that Trump is not a legitimate president. There’s just one problem – the idea that Trump and his team colluded with the Russians during the presidential election has been disproven time and time again.
Late last month, the Daily Caller published a report alleging that the Department of Homeland Security was wrong when it told the states of California and Wisconsin that Russian hackers had tried to break into their election websites and tamper with their registration files.
The Department of Homeland Security had previously told a total of 21 states, including California and Wisconsin, that Russians had tried to hack into voter registration files and election websites. Now, however, the DHS is claiming that the hackers actually went after the California Department of Technology and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
“The work of our intelligence agencies is critical in defending against cyber threats,” said California Secretary of State Alex Padilla in a statement. “I remain committed to a partnership with DHS and other intelligence agencies; however, elections officials and the American public expect and deserve timely and accurate information.”
Scott McConnell, a spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security, released a rather blunt and unapologetic statement to the Daily Caller. “While we defer to each state whether to disclose the circumstance surrounding their networks, it’s important to point out that discussions of specific IP addresses do not provide a complete picture of potential targeting activity. The Department stands by its assessment that Internet-connected networks in 21 states were the target of Russian government cyber actors seeking vulnerabilities and access to U.S. election infrastructure,” he said.
Still, however, there is absolutely no proof that the Russians colluded with Trump or members of his team to sway the election in his favor. The Department of Homeland Security was wrong when they told the states of California and Wisconsin that Russians had tampered with their registration files and public election websites, and even more than that, most of the liberals in Washington D.C. and the mainstream media have known that this entire thing was BS from the start. Back in June, James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas captured undercover video footage of a senior CNN producer actually admitting that the network’s attempts to link President Trump to the Russians lacked any significant proof. “Could be bullshit. I mean, it’s mostly bullshit right now,” admitted John Bonifield after being asked a question about his thoughts on the Russia investigation. But if the entire Russia scandal is made up, and even the liberals within the mainstream media know that it’s made up, then why do they continue to talk about it day in and day out? (Related: CNN’s credibility collapses under the weight of a fake news scandal.)
The reason is simple: The leftists hate President Trump, and they are willing to do anything and everything in their power to tear him down. If that means lying to the American people and making up some kind of phony scandal, then so be it. But as the truth continues to come out, and as more and more Americans start to catch on to the game the liberals are playing, the more credibility they will lose and the tougher it will be for them to regain power in Washington.
