Kamala Harris caught in blatant LIE about school desegregation… do liberals just fabricate everything?

The next Democratic Party presidential nominee very well could be another race-baiting liar in the mold of former President Barack Obama.

Her name is Kamala Harris, and she is currently a U.S. senator from the socialist republic of California.

A darling of the Left-wing media, Harris is being feted and courted by liberal donors and elected Democrats as their best shot at knocking off POTUS Donald Trump in November 2020. She’ll be one of what is expected to be a large crowd of Democratic candidates, but because of her gender and skin color, she’s the odds-on favorite (as of now anyway) by a sycophantic press corps obsessed with such things as gender and skin color rather than, say, qualifications for the job or past life and professional experiences.

As The Gateway Pundit reported this week, Harris pulled out the race card and smacked it down on a table as she tweeted Monday about the power of the U.S. Supreme Court. In her tweet, she claimed that she was a student in only the second class to integrate into liberal Berkeley, California’s public schools back in the day.

“Two decades after Brown v. Board, I was only the second class to integrate at Berkeley public schools. Without that decision, I likely would not have become a lawyer and eventually be elected a Senator from California. That’s the power a Supreme Court Justice holds,” she wrote.

There’s just one problem with that claim: She is lying.

Maybe she should have taken a math class. Or an ethics course.

First of all, TGP notes that Harris’ parents were successful professionals and that she only attended a Berkeley school for two years, moving with her mother when she was seven to Canada, where she finished her primary education.

Harris was born in 1964, meaning she would not have begun school (Kindergarten, presumably) until she was four or five (so figure sometime in the 1968-1969 timeframe).

As TGP notes, classrooms were already integrated by 1963 — before she was born. And the school yearbook from 1963 proves it.

A virtual thumbing through the book, which has been archived electronically by the Berkeley Public Library, shows fully integrated classes.

Making absurd claims for political gain is divisive

And again, that was in 1963. Let’s recall that Harris wasn’t born until the following year.

“The next time Kamala Harris plays the race card for sympathy she should try to get her facts straight,” TGP notes. (Related: DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen puts hack Dem Sen. Kamala Harris in her place over immigration policy.)

Sure, she should. But personally, we’d prefer she didn’t play the race card at all, because it’s so blatantly inappropriate and insulting to our intelligence.

Like Obama before her and many other successful, notable Americans of African descent who similarly play the race card, if our country was so systemically racist then none of these people would have gotten ahead.

What’s more, what exactly was Harris’ point — that President Trump’s latest Supreme Court pick, U.S. District Court of Appeals Judge Brett Kavanaugh is somehow going to become the ‘deciding vote’ on the court to repeal portions of the Constitution that require equal treatment for all Americans?

That’s absurd.

Besides, she can’t say with any certainty that absent the Brown v. Board decision, which paved the way for school integration, she would not have gone to law school, graduated, and become anything she wanted to be. There’s no way to know that, so to make such a claim is a false dichotomy.

If Kamala Harris wants to be our next president, she should check her activism at the door and really bone up on her honesty. But then, asking a Democrat to be honest and forthright with the American people is a bridge or several too far.
