Failed Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, who lost to current Republican Georgia Governor Brian Kemp in last year’s election, has refused to accept her loss with grace and dignity. She still insists, without a shred of evidence, that she was the real winner in last year’s election, despite losing by over 54,000 votes.

Her delusion was on display while giving a keynote speech at Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network conference in April.
At the #NANCONV2019, @staceyabrams says of her 2018 loss: "We won"
"We had this little election back in 2018. And despite the final tally and the inauguration and the situation we find ourselves in, I do have very affirmative statement to make. We won.” pic.twitter.com/8FED6azZmr

Abrams on why she didn't concede:
“I refused to concede because, here's the thing: concession needs to say something is right and true and proper. … You can’t trick me into saying it was right.”

The New York Times is lending credence to this woman’s baseless conspiracy theory. They are using Abrams’ lies to push the hypothesis that President Trump “fears women of color.”
“… Gov. Brian Kemp of Georgia played referee, scorekeeper and contestant so he could tip the scales in his favor in the 2018 election for governor against Stacey Abrams, whose voter protection efforts had begun years earlier,” authors Taeku Lee and EunSook Lee wrote in their Times op/ed.
Over 3.9 million Georgia residents voted in the gubernatorial election of 2018, with 55 percent of eligible voters participating in the process. Exit polls also showed that nonwhites made up a whopping 40 percent of voters, a new record high.
If Kemp was attempting to suppress the vote, it appears he did not do a particularly good job of it. The op/ed did not let those pesky facts get in the way of an anti-white, anti-Republican biased political narrative.
“Mr. Trump’s re-election strategy is focused on energizing his base of disaffected white men. And with white women evenly split between Republicans and Democrats, we would do well to heed the potential for women of color to decide the outcome of the 2020 election,” the authors wrote.
The op/ed writers are urging the Democrats to rally around minority figures like the “Squad” of Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-MA), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) in order to play identity politics next year to defeat President Trump. They call for more welfare to groups dominated by minority females as a policy proposal.
“Moreover, we know very little about how to engage women of color in politics. We need to support more research, more innovation and greater improvements to existing voter contact tools. And we need to focus on protecting voting rights as voter suppression continues,” the authors wrote.
“Finally, people working in civic engagement must help create infrastructure, the formation of durable groups that are led by women of color and that are in the fight for the long term. We urgently need this. Our democracy itself is at stake,” they added.
The truth no longer matters to the Democrats and their fake news minions, as they are happy to promote any Big Lie as long as they feel it can deliver them power through the political process.
